 World Youth Day Pilgrimmage 2008

Pope John Paul II had a deep love for the youth of the Church, and in 1985 he established World Youth Day as an official celebration of and for Catholic Youth.  Since then, World Youth Day has been celebrated at different locations throughout the world from Denver, Colorado to Manilla, Philippines.

At World Youth Day, young pilgrims from all corners of the world come together to celebrate their Catholic faith by means of serving the people of the local area, attending catechetical sessions presented by bishops and cardinals from around the world, participating in the sacraments, and of course praying with and learning from the Pope himself.
