The Mission Statement of St. Croix Valley Faith Formation is “To make the name of Jesus Christ known and loved in our time by living the gospel, teaching the Profession of Faith, celebrating the sacraments, informing about moral life, and cultivating Christian prayer for the Church communities of St. Charles, St. Mary, and St. Michael”.

One of the main goals of St. Croix Valley Faith Formation is “To nurture and develop the faith of the parishioners of all ages, conscious of the essential role of the family” Intergenerational Faith Formation aims to address that goal by educating parents in the Catholic faith, and then giving them the tools to teach their Catholic faith to their children at home.

Intergenerational/Family Faith sessions are faith formation classes for the entire family and all members of the tri-parishes of St. Charles, St. Mary, and St. Michael, even if you do not have children enrolled in the faith formation program. Children meet by grade in a classroom setting. Adults, confirmation students, and already confirmed teens, meet at the same time as the children. Adults attend a speaker’s presentation on these evenings that address the current teachings of the Catholic Church. The faith formation sessions are held the first Wednesday of the month from October through May. These sessions will be held at St. Michael’s and SCCS facilities. At the end of the evening, adults and parents will be given handouts and materials to use to deepen their faith and to use throughout the month in their home.

In addition to the first of the month Intergenerational/Family Faith formation classes, the Intergenerational/Family Faith program also includes service nights. The service nights are held on one other Wednesday of the month (usually the 3^rd Wednesday of each month). The service nights are held from 6:30 – 8:00 pm and are for all adults and families in the tri-parishes of St. Charles, St. Mary, and St. Michael – preschool through adult.
